Locally sourced, freshly made food, and they really understand why that matters. The Maury Boeuf and cold mushroom soup were a balm after walking through the last of the snow. We were two Australians arriving late because of a national strike, c'est la France, and they helped us out and made us feel welcome. G and C were wonderful hosts, ready with local knowledge and advice whenever we asked, without ever pushing it. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, like staying in someone's home. Honestly, arriving in the country couldn't have gone better, airports and transit aside.

The room was basic, but the people were nice.

For a one-night stay, the room was adequate, though at 75 Euros plus 9.50 Euros for breakfast, I felt the price was a bit high for what you get. Breakfast was quite good, and towels and linens were included. We didn't try the restaurant. The room was clean and functional, with a comfortable bed, bathroom and wardrobe. The hotel is dated and worn, but well maintained and clean, and the owner was very kind. We were two motorcyclists with two bikes, staying in the center of this pleasant little village. There's no garage or parking, so the bikes have to stay on the street, though they didn't seem at much risk in this quiet place. Our room was on the third floor, reached by a narrow staircase with no elevator. Carrying a lot of luggage was awkward, since we couldn't leave anything on the bikes outside for fear of theft. It would be useful if the listing mentioned the floors and let guests choose. The room was large enough.
