They even shifted breakfast to 7:45 for us the next morning, which we really appreciated, and the chef had packed a generous pique nique. This family-run place gave us a lovely welcome, especially as hikers arriving wet and muddy. The lady was concerned about us, and her husband, the Chef, made a vegetarian Truffade just for us. Our recently refurbished room was lovely, with a comfortable bed, a roomy ensuite bathroom, quiet surroundings and lovely lake views. The chef was welcoming at breakfast too. Highly recommend.

Our room was spacious and clean, with a superb view, and they provided a baby bed and high chair for our eight-month-old. We were travelling with our dog as well. Dinner was delicious, including truffade, a local specialty, and fondue made with local cheese. Breakfast was the best I've had in France, with wonderful bread and croissants, homemade confiture, local cheeses, fromage blanc and more. There's also a bar with local beer and wine, and an outdoor terrace overlooking the lake and volcano. The welcome was friendly, and there are walks from the hotel, nearby cheese farms, a volcano national park, and fishing at the lake. I was so glad we stumbled on this gem, and I'd definitely stay again. Highly recommend for an authentic experience and to support a family business. Thanks for a great start to our vacation!

We arrived two hours before check-in, but the hosts kindly showed us to our room anyway. They're a lovely, hardworking young couple, and the place felt clean, cozy and welcoming, with good food. It's a great base for hikers and other visitors to the Puy de Dôme, whether you're on foot or driving.

We stayed for two nights on our way to the South of France and had a great time. The owners were welcoming and accommodating, and both the food and service were excellent.
