Hotel Première Classe La Rochelle Sud - Aytré

The room was tiny and the furniture outdated, and the staff were really rude. They yelled at me when I hadn't done anything wrong. I've never had a worse experience. Terrible.

I only needed a cheap bed for a quick stop, so I wasn't expecting much from 'premier classe'. The bed was there, and for one short night it was okay. The bathroom was tiny, though, and the shower leaked water into the room. The broken wall below the doorframe should've been a clue. There was water everywhere when I got out. The showerhead leaked too, and there were huge spiderwebs, so maybe nobody had used the room for a while or it had been overlooked. The bed blocked the door from opening, so I had to push it out of the way to get in, and it slid back when I closed the door. At reception, the man asked for my name several times and seemed not to listen or even look at me. He barely said hello, then took payment and handed over the key. If you're staying longer, I'd pay a little more and book somewhere else.

The rooms were very clean and had air conditioning, a toilet, shower, TV and Wi-Fi. Breakfast was nice too, continental, though I'm still getting used to that.

A great place for a family break, with easy access to the main road.
