We had lunch and really enjoyed it. The food is classic French cooking and exceptional, and the hotel is so well kept and clean. The toilets were exceptionally clean as well. It’s a peaceful spot looking out over the river, with a shaded terrace and a lovely view. We’d happily stay here for a few days and enjoy the food and wine.

The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly. The location was nice, though the river view wasn’t much to speak of. We dined here with a group of friends, but the food was only okay. It seemed to be aiming for top-notch gourmet cooking and didn’t quite get there. Even the olives tasted bland, like they came from a jar. The dishes lacked the flavours you’d expect from gourmet dining, and the meal felt overpriced for what we got. I probably wouldn’t return.

The rooms were impeccable and air conditioned, and the restaurant food was also to a very high standard. It’s a peaceful location, the hotel is very well kept, and the couple running it were friendly. All good.

At sunset, the terrace had an exceptional view over the Dordogne. The food was excellent, and so was the service. Our waitress patiently went through the French menu with us in English. Highly recommended.

A wonderful meal from start to finish. The complimentary cauliflower taster was delicious, and the soufflé at the end was perfect. Everything in between was delicious too.
