We spent three days exploring the area by bike and loved spotting flamingos and other birds. Back at the place, the room, terrace and view were all lovely, and breakfast was great too. We ordered dinner a couple of times, local cheeses, fish, charcuterie, salad and bread, and it was all delicious. I'd highly recommend La Lagune.

The next day we set off on a windy, adventurous 5k walk across the old salt flats to peryiac-du-mer. It was a quaint village, with a wonderful restaurant and such friendly people. Back in Bages, we had an evening beer at a little local bar after a walk. This is a beautiful, sleepy ancient village near Narbonne. We were unsure about our choice when we arrived, but our hostess Corrine was so kind, genuine and communicative that we soon settled into the village atmosphere. We loved our summer visit to France. It was quiet, relaxing and romantic, and we'd definitely recommend it.

The room was lovely, and Corine and her family looked after us so well. They welcomed us perfectly and gave us sightseeing tips we really appreciated. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. I'd book without hesitation.
