The renovation work on the sheepfolds is superb and on a huge scale. I used to work in construction, so I really appreciated it. On November 13th, 2025, I came across them while hiking down the southwest slope of Monné and took the chance to visit two. Congratulations to the mountain workers. I’ve also added a link to your website on my hiking Facebook page 😁

The food was a lovely bonus: they served us a packed dinner and breakfast with delicious local products, including beef stew with beer, local cheese, and Pyrenees pie. We also had a flock of sheep nearby, watched over by Patou, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog. We spent one night at the Estella cabin. It’s authentic and charming, with a peaceful feel and beautiful views over the mountains and valley. The Pic du Midi is right across from it, too. Sophie and Marc

We stayed overnight in the Beroy cabin, a small place that had all the comfort we wanted in a beautiful setting. The welcome was really warm, and the site looks just like the photos. A hiking trail goes right by the cabin, with a 2.5-3 hour loop through the lovely surroundings.
