gîte vallée de la céze

Our family of two adults and three teenagers stayed for a week at Le Bosquet Fruite in Bagnols sur Ceze, taking all three bedrooms in the Le Grenadier apartment. Francois and Marie greeted us warmly, and the spotless, well-organized rooms and bathrooms were ready with a bottle of local rose in the fridge, just what we needed after the long drive. We had our own garden eating area and table for breakfasts and dinners, plus a BBQ to use. The pool was lovely and very clean. There’s also a wine fridge with local bottles to try, and Francois shared plenty of ideas for nearby sightseeing, including Cornillon and Goudargue. One evening we joined their table d'hote in the beautiful garden. Francois and Marie made a delicious meal: vin de pamplemousse, pissaladiere, tomato salad, Camargue rice, daube de taureau, and homemade ice cream. The food was top notch, and the conversation made it a really convivial evening. Le Bosquet Fruite is a charming, relaxing place to stay, and I highly recommend it.

Francois' table d'hote is a must, with tasty food and very good local wines. It’s also a great spot for a big family reunion or for exploring the Cevennes national park, not far from Bagnols-sur-Ceze.

The pool area was great, and breakfast was superb, with homemade jams and fruit from their trees. Service was fabulous too. I only wish I’d had more than one night there. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, supremo!
