Camping de la Ferme des Saules - Gîte

We only stopped for one night on the way to Dunkirk, but it was such a lovely campsite that we could have stayed much longer. The owner welcomed us warmly, and there was loads of room on the pitches. The facilities were lovely, and the gorgeous farm dog kept us entertained by fetching a stick. We’ll definitely be back!

The farm shop is large and sells really delicious food. The staff were super helpful, and the pitches have a good amount of space between them. Toilets and showers were spotless, with powerful hot water when you wanted it.

We picked a pitch on the outer edge after the friendly tour in a golf buggy. There was a donkey in the field behind us, which was a nice surprise. That section seemed like a newer addition, with small boundary trees and toilet facilities that were still being finished. The main toilets and showers were great and clean, and the little shop had all sorts of food and bits and pieces. Balleuil is a lovely little place, and the campsite is in a lovely location.

Our tent pitch had its own private space, with hedges around it and plenty of shade. The owner was delightful and showed us around in a golf buggy. The facilities were among the best I’ve seen, and there was a kitchen with a kettle and fridge to use. We had dinner from the amazing onsite shop, fresh produce, baguette, cheese, pâté and red wine. We also ordered fresh pastries and a baguette for breakfast, with their homemade strawberry jam. This was the perfect place to stay, and we’ll definitely come back. Highly recommend it!
