Marriott Village d'Ile-de-France

There’s loads to do on the grounds, from playgrounds and pools to games, movies and car charging. We could easily have stayed there the whole holiday without going to Disney. The shuttle to the parks was great, and the staff were wonderful. The location works really well for a Disney visit, and the accommodation was comfortable, though it’s starting to look a little worn. Some fresh paint and shower curtains that don’t smell a bit soiled would help. It felt a bit like a money grab, but we were still pleased overall. The restaurant was pretty bad: more expensive than food at Disney and much lower quality. I’d save the money and eat elsewhere. Breakfast was decent with lots of choice, but it doesn’t start until 8:30, which is the latest hotel breakfast I’ve ever come across. We skipped the breakfast we’d already paid for because we wanted to get into the parks early. Since the rooms have kitchens, eating in is a better use of your money. A guest asked whether food delivery could come to the hotel and was told drivers are no longer allowed on the property. The hotel offered its own restaurant instead, which was frustrating given how bad it was. I really wish delivery were still an option.

The rooms are spacious and feel more like a home than a hotel: our two bedroom villa had both bedrooms upstairs, a kitchen, dining area and small living room downstairs, two full bathrooms, a half bath, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. We even woke up one morning to swans and their babies outside the terrace. Stella at the front desk was very kind and tried hard to help with a special request for my kids, though property rules limited what she could do. The restaurant staff were lovely too. It’s close to Disney, and the shuttle takes about 10 minutes for a small fee when it’s running. The property feels dated and needs a refresh. The staff work hard to keep things clean, but we saw worn, stained carpets, some shower mold and dust buildup. The shuttle was the biggest letdown. We bought round-trip tickets and were taken to Disney in the morning, but later the shuttle stopped running without anyone telling us. Several guests waited at the pickup spot for a Marriottshuttle that wasn’t coming. Another family called the hotel and found out it had broken down; the hotel said to take a taxi. They knew who had tickets and would be waiting, but didn’t send anyone or put up a sign. That lack of communication felt careless and left guests stranded. Food delivery can’t come to your villa. Drivers can only reach the security guard at the property’s front gate, which is a long way from reception and even farther from the villas. After a long park day, you have to walk all the way out to the entrance to collect it. If you want somewhere safe and family-friendly near Disney, this works. If you want something fancier or more flexible, it may not be the right place.

This was our second stay at Marriott Village near Disney, and we’re already looking forward to a third. The whole team was warm and helpful, and their hospitality made the place stand out. The resort was peaceful despite being so close to the parks, with no noise from hallways or neighboring rooms, so it was easy to recharge after a long day. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and the lobby, pool decks and other shared spaces stayed well maintained. It’s unusual for a busy resort to feel this clean. It’s now our reliable go-to for Orlando trips, and I’d recommend Marriott Village to anyone wanting a clean, welcoming stay near Disney.

The townhouse was huge, spotless and a hit with my kids. They liked it more than two luxury hotels we stayed at during the holiday. We got in early, and Cecilia at the Front Office was pleasant and arranged access to our townhouse at 11:30AM. Her English was perfect. The grounds have a relaxing French countryside feel, and Disney is only a short ride away. Room service arrived at our villa within 30 minutes and tasted really good. The marketplace was a nice extra too. A+ for this Marriott VC property. We hope to come back.
