The owners made the stay such a pleasure. They even found and booked us a fantastic restaurant in Amiens, and shared useful tips about nearby places to see. It’s a great base for exploring the Somme. The Chateau is beautiful, and the renovation has been done really well. Our room had everything we needed, along with lovely period details and stunning views. I just wish we’d stayed for the whole week.

The owners were really nice, and Google Translate made it easy for us to chat. The Chateau has been renovated and was spotlessly clean. I especially liked the bullet marks in the brick from WW1, plus the copy of a letter from an Aussie who was wounded on the front stoop.

A good spot for visiting Amiens and the Somme war memorials, and I’d highly recommend it. The one small catch is that you need to drive if you want to go out for dinner.

The family who own this lovely chateau are great. It’s a handy base for seeing the Somme area, and I’d definitely recommend staying here.
