Maison du Troubadour makes a great base for exploring the hidden gem of a village, with the convenience of free parking nearby and a little courtyard for lunch. Set right in the heart of Balazuc, the 12th-century building has been transformed into a spacious modern home for the four of us, with plenty of amenities. The hosts have done a lovely job blending its history with thoughtful design, style, and taste. We really enjoyed staying here, relaxing, and exploring. Highly recommended.

There’s plenty to do nearby, and the house puts you right in the heart of one of the Ardèche’s most beautiful villages. Parking is very close, which makes arrival by car easy. The house itself is exceptional, with a thoughtful mix of comfort and practicality. You can see the passion and skill in the renovation and its incredible finishes. The hosts truly deserve their money.

Aline made us feel right at home during our pleasant few days in Balazuc. The house she renovated sits in the heart of the beautiful village, and the work shows real taste and courage. Everything was arranged to make our stay feel easy and comfortable. We only wish we could have stayed longer, though there’s so much to see and do in the Ardèche. We’d certainly return if we get the chance.

Aline was a helpful host and gave us some great suggestions. We had a wonderful week at La Maison du Troubadour, a pleasant house in the heart of Balazuc where everything is within walking distance. The village is beautiful and listed among France’s most beautiful. I highly recommend it!

La Maison du Troubadour is a magnificent cottage in a picturesque village full of character. Aline has thought of everything, from the tasteful decor and excellent amenities to the very spacious rooms. You feel comfortable and cared for thanks to all the kindness.
