The market-day trip to Rodez was a highlight. It’s a lively country town with plenty of history and charm, and Melania and Roland arranged a bus since we didn’t have a car. They were helpful with advice throughout our stay, and we shared meals with them. They even took us to dinner with their friends on Saturday. From the airport pickup to the ride back after a lovely Monday lunch, they made us feel so welcome. The château is beautifully maintained, with spacious rooms and an extra living room with a kitchen. There are lovely original features, an above-ground pool, and animals around the grounds, including goats, chickens, kitten Henri, and collie Maya, who we enjoyed walking on Sunday morning. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
