Le Clos du Charpentier

We got a good night's rest in this lovely house. Everyone was so friendly, and breakfast was really good too.

There’s plenty to do nearby, but the place itself feels like a peaceful little retreat. The pool, air conditioning, and gym are there for guests, all offered without any fuss and with a warm welcome. We found it simple, beautiful, and quiet. The rooms have lots of charm, and the building has been renovated beautifully. A lovely stop in Charente, whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or with friends.

We’ll gladly come back to this calm, relaxing place. Our host was very welcoming and clearly cares about the quality of what’s offered. The restored house is beautiful and full of charm, and the rooms are lovely. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

At €105 for three people, including breakfast, the stay felt very reasonably priced for the quality. Breakfast was generous and really good, with hot drinks, orange juice, homemade yogurt and jams, plus fresh bread and pastries. The common areas have a fridge and microwave, and there’s a lovely pool too. Our room was clean and comfortable, with ground-floor access, air conditioning, a fan, toiletries, a hairdryer, and very comfortable bedding. The building is wonderful and a pleasant place to spend time. The welcome was professional but also very friendly, with a real concern for guests’ well-being. We’d be very happy to return!
