We got in very late, but were greeted warmly, and they even made us a wonderful salad after the kitchen had closed. The rooms were spotless, the bathroom huge and the air conditioning worked great. Breakfast had a lovely, wide selection. A superb place to stay, with the lovely village of Sancerre just five minutes away and great staff.

The food was a real highlight, with excellent meals from the chef and friendly service, plus a fantastic breakfast spread. The rooms were clean and spacious, and some even have a shower for two. The hotel and restaurant are in pleasant surroundings. Special thanks to the owner, Marie, for going out of her way to make us comfortable and welcome. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

Dinner was exceptionally tasty and very good value, and the owners were great people. The unique evening menu cost 19€, including a glass of wine and a bottle of water. We had seafood to start, three oysters, three scampi and 100g of whelks with homemade mayonnaise and bread, followed by tasty poulet de bresse with rice, then homemade pear Bavarian for dessert. The setting and surroundings are charming, though you have to go round the back to find the property's parking lot.

The innkeepers were nice, and my room was clean, bright and quiet, with a huge bathroom and shower. I borrowed an electric bike and explored the countryside, including Sancerre perched on its hill, which was fabulous. We also shared a simple, pleasant meal at the communal table. Recommended.
