Les Tonnelles

It was a restful stop for us tired travellers, and the restaurant had a lovely menu choice with nicely presented food. The hotel room was minimalist, modern and clean. We slept well in a comfortable bed, and the shower was refreshingly powerful. Don't let the hotel's location put you off.

I still want to return to Les Tonnelles Hôtel Restaurant and thank everyone personally. The staff, especially the female manager, showed real kindness and professionalism, and I recommend the place whether you need a hotel or just find yourself in a bind. It was the evening of July 21, 2023. Around 10 p.m., I put gasoline in my diesel vehicle by mistake at a nearby station, and it broke down by the roadside. I was stranded, so I walked to Les Tonnelles Hôtel Restaurant looking for help. Even though it was late on a Friday, the manager immediately started calling Avis and other companies to arrange a tow truck and repairs. She also gave me a sandwich and coffee for free, and spent nearly an hour focused on sorting things out. Her efforts paid off when a tow truck arrived. By the next morning my vehicle was fixed, so I could continue with my plans and go to a stage of Tour de France. What could have been a nightmare turned into a story I'll always tell. Thank you, Les Tonnelles Hôtel Restaurant, for the incredible help.

There's a great big, well-lit car park here. It's a perfect place to stop for the city or on the way to the southern alps.

The restaurant was below average overall. The service was very friendly, and I liked the English-speaking staff. There was a nice champagne selection, mostly Pinot noir from the region. Neither of the entrees we chose was from the set menus: tuna with bread and butter, and charcuterie. The main courses were disappointing. My white fish seemed like it was probably frozen, and the chicken with a mountain of noodles didn't look appealing. The desserts were uninspiring, mostly something with whipped cream. The decor and atmosphere felt mediocre, somewhere between modern and dusty.
