We’d happily recommend this place, 10/10. The pitches are roomy and green, with trees and bushes offering sun or shade. It’s well located near the lake and lots of hiking routes. The heated pool looks out at the mountains, the facilities were clean, and the owner was very friendly. Quiet, well maintained, and not expensive, with nice pizzas at the campsite restaurant.

We ended up adding a fourth night because we liked the campsite and area so much, and I’d like to come back. We first checked it out because we needed laundry facilities on the way, and found the laundry open. When we arrived, reception was empty, so we walked around until Madam found us and showed us the place. It was a very large site, but quiet at that time of year. She pointed out the sunrise and sunset so we could pick a suitable pitch, and suggested we leave space around other campers for everyone’s privacy. She also gave us lots of maps and brochures for local walks and explained where to find restaurants and bars. The pool was open, though we didn’t swim, while the restaurant and bar were closed. The toilets and showers were spacious and very clean. Trees throughout the grounds provided plenty of shade, and our pitch was on grass. There are easy, fairly flat walks around town as well as harder routes up the nearby mountains. The power supply worked well enough for our electric hot plate.

We spent three nights in the little wooden cabana, which was cosy and made for a very pleasant stay. The caretaker was so friendly and made us feel welcome. Next time, we’d like to come with our camper and stay on the campsite.

A cosy, medium sized campground with plenty of trees and green space, so there’s good privacy. The pool was lovely for a refreshing dip, and the restaurant was just right for a few evening drinks. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was great.
