Le Domaine du Golf dAlbret

We were a family of four and booked seven days in the last week of August 2020. The photos online looked interesting, but the place was disappointing in person. It seemed messy and the building wasn’t well maintained. Although we arrived an hour early, check-in was only allowed at exactly 5pm, as stated. Nobody was there with us when we checked in. We were given a paper inventory to check and return within 24 hours. Several things in the room were broken, including the bedroom wall lamp and the sink plug. My husband asked for them to be fixed after submitting the inventory. We were told someone would come, but nothing was repaired by the end of our stay. At checkout we were told a technician could enter the room while we were out. We didn’t find that appropriate, so if you stay here, keep your important belongings with you even when going to the pool. The terrace floor, table, and chairs were very dirty. We cleaned and bleached them when we arrived. There were ants everywhere, so sweep after eating. Bring your own cleaning supplies and toilet paper too: for seven days we got one toilet roll, no dish sponge or soap, and just two shampoos and two soaps for four people. The terrace set had chairs for only three, so at every meal we had to move a chair from the dining set outside and bring it back in if it rained. Many items were incomplete, so check everything carefully if you don’t want to be charged at checkout. Customer service was very poor. Our room was in a good spot, facing the pool. When a pool light broke, it was left there without prompt repair even though wires were exposed. The toilet by the pool was shut, so swimmers had to go back to the apartment to use one. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable, and the kids said it was itchy. The plants looked uncared for too. I don’t recommend booking here. If you don’t mind poor service and cleanliness, it may be okay because it isn’t too expensive, but don’t expect it to match the online photos.

Team Vacancêole were friendly, thank you. I did recommend this park, but there’s room to improve the accommodation. The WiFi didn’t work, kitchen supplies were poor, there was no TV remote or dishwasher, and the apartment had no air conditioning. The restaurant and bar were closed.

The pool and gardens were really nice, and the accommodation was adequate and very affordable. It was comfortable, though food options were a little lacking.

The area was nice, but the place was very dirty and poorly maintained. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend it, and it definitely isn’t three star.
