The only things that bothered us were the weak, sometimes unreliable Wi-Fi and how hot our under-roof room got on warm days. A fan or some kind of cooling would have made a real difference. The rest of our stay was wonderful. The hosts were kind, attentive and clearly passionate about what they do, and made us feel at home right away. Our room was thoughtfully decorated with personal touches, spotless and cosy. Breakfast was a highlight, carefully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a lovely range of things each morning. La Bastide de Barbizon has real character, and we'd gladly return.

We had such a lovely weekend and will definitely come back. The place is beautifully decorated, and the couple who run it are charming. Claire was very helpful, and they kindly lent us their bicycles. Barbizon is an easy walk away. We loved it and highly recommend La bastide de Barbizon. Thank you!

It is quite expensive, but the rooms are fantastic and the breakfast is good.

The walk to Barbizon Village is easy, and this place feels like a peaceful little escape. The decor is stunning, and we were greeted with such kindness and a smile. A lovely, exotic-feeling corner of paradise.
