The courtyard was lovely, and having parking on site was really handy. Hotel SPA Azteca is close to downtown, with local attractions easy to reach on foot. Our room was lovely too, and we were delighted to find it had its own private patio.

The staff were excellent, and the little details around the hotel were so well considered. We were right in the heart of Barcelonette, with lovely views of the town skyline against the mountains. The common areas and garden patio looked stylish but were still comfortable and useful. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a luxurious bathroom, and the decor was lovely. Breakfast was incredible, with lots of options and some of the best croissants I've had. We also tried the spa, including the sauna and massage, and were very pleased with both the facilities and the service. This was one of my favourite places we stayed on the trip.

We had a very enjoyable stay, and the staff at the Hotel Azteca were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The king-sized bed was lovely, and our room had a small balcony. The room was on the small side, though much like hotel rooms elsewhere in Europe. I also enjoyed relaxing with a 30 minute soak in the Azteca spa. Highly recommend!

My cycling tour company has stayed at the Azteca many times over the past decade, including last week, and it’s still just as great. Cyclists have a secured garage for their bikes, a good breakfast, and a comfortable lounge. You’re also only steps away from the town’s restaurants and cafes. If you’re in Barcelonnette for cycling, this is where I’d stay.

A comfortable little hotel, close to the town centre. The rooms were clean and quiet, breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
