La Maison du Notaire

Ron has a friendly, welcoming way about him, and you can tell he enjoys meeting people and helping them feel at home. La Maison du Notaire is a beautiful house with gorgeous rooms. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and lovely place to stay.

We only stayed one night, but Ron and Astrid did everything they could to make us comfortable and welcomed us so warmly. Their country-style house is lovely, and the garden is magnificent. Breakfast was a real treat, served on the terrace with a beautiful view over the idyllic garden.

The meals were such a treat, lovingly prepared and delicious, with the feel of a fine restaurant in a homey setting. The owners made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and their genuine interest made it feel like visiting friends. We spent hours reading with a glass of wine in the peaceful garden, listening to the birds. Everything here seems to be done with care and pleasure, right down to the little details. It’s a place to relax and enjoy yourself. We left smiling and already wanted to come back.

We stopped here for a day on our way back to the Netherlands and found a beautiful village tucked among the meadows. Ron and Astrid were so hospitable and made sure we had what we needed. We arrived more than an hour late, but that was no issue and we could eat straight away. The rooms were tidy and well kept, the bathroom was nice, the shower was good, and everything worked. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and generous. Highly recommended!
