Le Pont d'Or

We stopped here for lunch and had a lovely time. The waiters were lovely, and the food was really good and interesting, especially the sauce with the vegetables. The clafoutis was delicious.

The wine list has some good choices, and the prices are reasonable. A traditional French place with very good food.

We won't come back. This was our third attempt at lunch, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, and it was another bad experience. The food was poor: they got the starter wrong, and the main course was veal blanquette, which left us disturbed the next day. Dessert was sheep's milk cheese with a very badly presented coulis, the coulis that was meant to come with it. When we asked for it, the waiter snapped, “You should have asked for it!” The service was completely unprofessional, with an agitated waiter who had no tact. The restaurant itself is outdated, with faded paint and a dirty, totally disorganized reception area. It’s such a beautiful location, so how can it have a “Logis de France” label in these conditions? What a shame.

The two generations after the grandmother we knew about thirty years ago have carried on with the same success. We had lunch as a couple today, Wednesday, and everything was very fresh and very good. The cannelloni deserves a special mention. Good value for money, and a restaurant still faithful to the virtues of good food.
