Splendide Appartement Barr - Route du Vins

The beds are large and the kitchen is adequate, but the apartment is smaller than the photos might lead you to expect. Cleanliness was a problem. On arrival, it seemed only the floor had been cleaned and the beds made. The furniture and shelves were dirty, so we had to clean them ourselves. A toaster would be a useful addition. The staircase runs up three floors and is quite steep, with uneven steps, so take care. PS: I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with physical limitations. It might work for younger people.

This is the worst apartment I’ve ever stayed in. It’s small and dirty, and the bedroom door won’t close. I doubt it meets fire safety standards. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The shower was the one good thing, which is why I gave it two stars. The place feels cramped and oppressive, and the apartment is damp, with low ceilings where you need to watch your head. It may be old and half-timbered, but there’s no real soundproofing. I could hear a neighbor coughing, and doors kept slamming at night. It’s the first Airbnb that made me want to leave. There wasn’t even a smart TV. The name promises charm, but I didn’t find much of it. The owners or tenants should spend three nights there to understand what it’s like. They should also rethink the price, since there are much better options for the same amount. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Parking was a plus. The second bedroom is small and up high, and the kitchen table barely works as a living room table because it’s so low. There weren’t enough dishes, and I couldn’t tell whether the appliance was a fridge or freezer. The vacuum cleaner was weak and broken.
