The hosts were friendly, and the room was clean with a good shower and bathroom. It’s in a lovely spot by the Rhine, in a quiet, peaceful village.

The setting is magnificent, and the rooms are lovely and very clean. The woman running the bed and breakfast was exceptionally kind, helpful, and flexible. I’d recommend it 100%.

Finding the B&B can take a bit of effort. Its entrance is tucked into an inner courtyard and isn’t visible from the street; there are no signs except in the little square, so you may need to ask or check the house number. Once inside, the rooms feel cozy and thoughtfully put together. Dave and Trina are very welcoming, speak French and English natively, and Trina is a talented cook. An English breakfast is available on request. Guests can also use the large upstairs living room with its fireplace to spend time together. Bassy sits on the Rhône, a few minutes from the lake and under an hour from Annecy and Geneva, making it a good spot for a quiet few days. The B&B is just steps from the quaint, scenic cemetery.
