The instructions sent before arrival were clear, and the WiFi was great. The room was brightly decorated, but it felt cluttered and was noisy. Worst of all, cigarette smoke kept coming through the gaps around the closed door. Getting to it meant climbing five flights of stairs in a very old building.

I came across this place on Booking.com and found it quite close to the city centre. The rooms were comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. There’s a small balcony, and you can use the kitchen to make tea or coffee.

I’ve stayed with Gigi many times and always feel at home there. He’s an energetic, wonderful host, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. You’re right in the middle of the city, with everything just a minute’s walk away. He’s also let me paint alongside him on several occasions, and some of my paintings now decorate his already colorful house. I highly recommend staying with him.

Gilbert is such a caring, easygoing host. I had an amazing time, made lasting friendships with his friends, and got invited to BBQs, parties and concerts. He really embodies Corsican warmth and courtesy. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The apartment is close to the town centre, which made it convenient to get around. Before we arrived, Gilbert was available by phone to answer questions about the accommodation. He also kindly marked directions and bus stops on a map for us. He was a very hospitable host, and I’d definitely stay here again.
