Monsieur Miot

I cancelled my booking and moved to Hotel Continental, where I encountered some decency. I never saw the actual room here, but what I experienced was enough to tarnish whatever nice features it might have. The hallways smelled rotten, and the staff's attitude matched. Absolutely dreadful. I wouldn't recommend anyone spend their money here.

The location is nice, but apart from that I don't think this place is worth staying at. It felt like the bare minimum. Our building smelled of raw sewage, especially strongly when you first entered the lobby. There was no reception, so we checked ourselves in. When I asked an employee about checking out, they didn't seem to care much; I think they work at the cafe downstairs too. The rooms were just okay. Ours had a bedroom and a second room with a single bed. The AC worked in that little room, but not in the one we actually slept in. There were no bedside tables, and the so-called communal area was just a large room with one small couch.

We had a good stay, and for a cheaper place it was about what you'd expect, but I wouldn't actively recommend it. The location is good. The room was clean and had a good shower, though it was very small, with a bed I think was 1m40 and one side pushed right up against a wall. The common area wasn't much, and there was no reception near the rooms, just in the bar downstairs. The rooms were okay, but it's not one of the best places I've visited.

We enjoyed the typical French breakfast, and checking in late was no problem. That also meant we got a little extra time the next day. Marine and her colleague were amazing hosts, and communication went like a charm. We really enjoyed our short stay at Monsieur Miot and would definitely stay there again.
