Hôtel Posta Vecchia

A lovely little hotel by the old port, in a quiet and safe area. The location is superb, within walking distance of the amenities and restaurants. Our room had a sea view, and housekeeping came daily. Breakfast was plentiful, the staff were helpful, and the price felt fair.

The staff were warm and kind, and the location is great. But the rooms are really small, and the bathroom smelled of urine. The shower was difficult to use without getting water all over the floor. There’s only a low mounted shower wand, and the tub isn’t somewhere you’d want to sit in.

The area was peaceful even though the hotel is close to the water, port, and town center. The staff were flexible and accommodating, and we had a clean room and good breakfast. My only issue was the small bathroom. There was no shower curtain, so water splashed everywhere.

Our sea-view room made the stay for us. We could watch the huge ferries come and go, and the room was big enough for two, with a lovely comfortable bed and crisp white sheets. The place was clean enough, and we had a very good stay. The port and town center are close. Breakfast was the same each day; more fresh pastries would’ve been nice, though the coffee in the big pot was perfect. You can hear other guests running water in their bathrooms, but it was okay for a holiday. Outside, there was noise from a nearby bar by the sea and motorbikes parked below. Towels didn’t need replacing every day, if you’re thinking green.
