The house sits above the valley and vineyards, with a lovely garden of flowering fruit trees behind it. It’s a renovated stone cottage in a tiny village, and the quiet, scenic roads make it easy to explore Burgundy’s vineyards and restaurants. What really made our stay, though, was how warmly Philippe and Valerie welcomed us. Valerie shared plenty of ideas for places to see, and her English helped a lot since we only know a few words of French. We’d hoped to try Burgundy’s famous poulet de Bresse, but couldn’t find a nearby restaurant with a reservation. Valerie went to the farmers market in the next town to buy one, and Philippe cooked it for us. We were deeply touched. He’s a wonderful chef, too. We enjoyed his local aperitif and savory baked goods in the evenings, and had their three-course dinner twice, loving every bite. They made us feel like family. We absolutely loved being there and will come back, and tell anyone who’ll listen to visit too.

The village was so quiet, and the view from our room, the garden, and the pool was fantastic. We only stayed one night on our way from the Atlantic coast to Germany, but wished we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious, with a large, very nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good, while the table d’hotes dinner was fantastic. Merci beaucoup et a bientot!

Valérie and Philippe gave us such a warm welcome. The garden has breathtaking views, and the swimming pool is magnificent. Breakfast was superb, too. Our room was very comfortable, especially the excellent bedding. It’s a lovely guesthouse, and I highly recommend it.
