The lake view from room #12 was a highlight, and just over €100 a night in mid June felt like a great deal. I’d planned one night, but loved Bauduen enough to book another on the morning I was due to leave. That worked out on a Wednesday in mid June, though I wouldn’t count on finding a room like that in high season or on a weekend. Bauduen and the lake are among the most beautiful places I’ve seen, up there with Lake Como but much less expensive. The water was cold in June, but so lovely and clean that I’d definitely recommend taking the plunge. I absolutely loved this little hotel and can’t recommend a visit to Bauduen and a stay at Auberge du Lac enough. You’ll love it!

The location was the one good thing for us. The smell of cat urine was overwhelming, and with cats and dogs throughout the hotel, the place felt unsanitary. I love pets, but we ended up sleeping with the windows open. A cat even tried to climb in through one of them.

There are two big black dogs and a pitbull here, and the owner's dogs seemed very aggressive even when we were just walking around. I didn’t feel safe at all. Be careful around this corner.

We had such a relaxing, comfortable week in the beautiful village of Bauduen. Our lovely room had a balcony overlooking the picturesque lake, and everyone on the hotel staff was welcoming and kind. The service was very good. On se reverra. Merci beaucoup!

A charming, clean and comfortable place, run by a friendly family. We had a terrace room looking over the lake, and breakfast there was lovely. Dinner was excellent too. There are friendly cats and dogs around, so it won’t suit anyone who dislikes four-legged friends. We’ll most certainly be back!
