I stayed at the Maison Imparfaite in September 2025 for a work seminar. The name may say imperfect, but the place is perfect. The scenery is magical, and the owners are lovely, warm people who make you feel welcome and are always ready to help with things like directions and finding shops, especially since it’s out in the countryside. They love animals, which was a plus for me: dogs, cats, and even chickens wandering around. Just fabulous. I still don’t have the words.

The campsite was fantastic, with very clean toilets and showers. The owners were friendly and helpful, suggested a nice trail, and lent us their maps. Pauline, one of the owners, makes her own leatherfruit from fruit grown at the campsite. The owners have led adventurous lives, sailing the Mediterranean and crossing Europe in a sailboat they built themselves. That alone makes the place worth visiting!

Such a lovely place to stay. It’s right by the autobahn, but you’d never guess once you’re there. It feels peaceful and close to nature and the water. Everything you need is there, and the host is so welcoming and nice. Dogs are allowed. Calling them directly is the best way to book.

This was the perfect place to stay, and it’s so much more than an ordinary camping spot. It’s the very best camping on the Velo 6. The owners are absolutely lovely and happy to help with anything. Breakfast was delicious, with typical French options if you like and lots of homemade dishes. I’m definitely coming back. Thank you!

A great stop for anyone cycling Euro Velo 6. The owners are super friendly and travelers themselves. Cyclists can camp for $5, and the breakfast was great, both the food and the conversation. The owners spoke French, English, and several other languages.
