Sunday, 10 March 2024, 1:43 p.m. I only wanted a coffee or a drink while waiting for my train. When I walked into the cafe and said “Bonjour,” the bald man didn’t reply or offer me a seat, either at a table or by the bar. He said it was for people eating and told me to leave. He was unfriendly.

The goat cheese salad, Salade baiona, was really good, and the pichet of rosé was good too. The steak, the ‘piece de boucher’, was just okay. We’d arrived by train around lunchtime and picked this restaurant across from the station while working out how to get a taxi or rent a car. Service was good overall.

We only wanted coffee, but a very rude waiter told us off for sitting down. When we asked why, he basically said we could go somewhere else. Worst place ever, don’t go there.
