The rooms were simple, spotless, and nicely kept, and the staff were very attentive. We got such a warm welcome when we arrived in the village. We happened to be there on 12th August, when a big fete was going on, which added to the atmosphere. Hearing a band play their take on Bon Scott's Highway to Hell felt pretty surreal in such a peaceful place. Good beer and wine, plus great food, made it a really worthwhile stop.

Good food and a great beer selection make this a good pick if you're after somewhere quiet. That occasional sound like a low-flying jet, despite no jet being visible, is actually the distant TGV passing. You're welcome. Unfortunately, this hotel appears to be out of business now.

The views from the hilltop are magnificent, and the hotel has a quirky feel. We had a great meal, though vegetarians should let them know in advance.

It's been closed and up for sale for nearly a year. Such a shame, since this is a nice village with lots of walking trails.
