Logis Le Relais du Bastidou

The rooms are simple, clean, and very quiet, at the end of a small street with no meaningful car traffic. Hospitality was outstanding. I arrived after the restaurant had closed on the first day, and they brought an excellent meal tray to my room, wine included. I ate in the restaurant the following evening. I travel often and have eaten at Michelin restaurants, sometimes paying eight to ten times more for food that wasn’t as good. For the price, the cooking here is remarkable. The dishes are prepared in a fairly traditional way, but the flavors are anything but ordinary. The sommelier, who also looks after the hotel, knew her wines and recommended a lovely aperitif and digestif. It seemed to be run by just two people, which makes the experience all the more impressive. Restaurant le Relais du Bastidou deserves at least one Michelin star, perhaps two. I’ll recommend it to my friends at Michelin. If I could give Logis Hôtel & Restaurant le Relais du Bastidou six stars, I would.

Eating out is often difficult for me because of my special diet, but the staff were incredibly kind and made me delicious food. It was a real joy. My partner, who eats everything, enjoyed a wonderful meal too. Lovely setting, wonderful food, highly recommended.

Good dinner, with local ingredients and wines, and friendly people who made sure we were comfortable. This is a very special spot, right in the middle of nowhere, ideal if you like nature. The rooms were comfortable, and the pool and sauna facilities were great.

Good food and wine, even with France about to go into lockdown. Les Patrons gave us a warm welcome the night before it began, despite all the uncertainty ahead.
