Kyriad - Beaune

We spent two nights at Kyriad Beaune with our children. The staff were pleasant, breakfast was generous, and both the rooms and beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great, and they even let us keep our bicycles indoors overnight. A great stay all around.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was pretty good, and there's plenty of space in the car park. The place is clean, neat, and tidy, and it is what it is. I don't know why people give it one star. Maybe they expected the London Savoy for £100. I've stayed at the Savoy, and it costs more than £100 a night. Sadly! 😥

For three guests, the room was tiny for 120 Euros a night. It was completely outdated, the bathroom door had holes and wouldn't lock, and the room was noisy and smelled like an open sewer. They tried to cover the smell with lots of cheap toilet spray, without success. They offered neither a refund nor another room. One of our worst hotel experiences ever, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This works well as a short stop, with several restaurants nearby and even a bowling alley. The rooms are decent, though nothing fancy, and our triple room's bathroom door had no lock. For the price, it's a good hotel. Around dinner time the receptionist also waits tables, so if you arrive to check in around 8 p.m., you may have to wait a little.
