ACE Hotel Arras-Beaurains

The rooms are quiet, though voices from the corridor carry through from other rooms. They’re spacious, with a decent-sized king bed, and the shower is large. Heating and cooling are easy to adjust with the dial in the room. There’s a lift to every floor and parking is easy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the price is good, especially if you book on the hotel website. Restaurants are nearby, but they were closed on New Year’s Day. There’s also a cheap bakery chain for breakfast. The hotel’s continental buffet costs €9.90 per person, and you have to decide the night before whether to have it. Coffee is available separately. My only gripes were the lack of a kettle and cups in the room, and that the only plug socket was beside one side of the bed.

We stayed at the ACE Hotel at Arras as a military veterans Association and had a truly wonderful time. One of our veterans used a wheelchair and was well cared for in a custom disabled room on the ground floor. He could also get to every floor in his chair. The staff were very friendly and helped us with everything. Rooms were kept clean and fresh, and breakfast had plenty to eat and a good selection. We’ll definitely stay here again.

There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby, and it’s just 1.5hrs from Calais. A handy stopover for the price, with a spotless, fresh-feeling hotel, helpful staff and a good breakfast.

We stopped here overnight on the way back to the UK. It’s a lot like a Premier Inn, with very comfortable, excellent beds, and the place was clean and tidy. Great value, too. We skipped the continental breakfast at 9€90, which felt too expensive, and went to an excellent bakery very close by.
