The cafe itself is a nice, cosy spot, but the way the bill was handled was pretty nasty. I was charged 4.80€ for a basic cafe au lait, even though I heard other customers being charged 1€ each. When I questioned the price, wondering if it was because I wanted to pay by card, the server said it would be 5€ in cash. It felt like she was making up a price she thought she could get away with. Pretty gross way to do business. I don’t recommend it.

We stopped for lunch on the way home. The place is lovely inside, and the menu had some nice options as well as daily specials. We both enjoyed the chicken with Normandy sauce, and the portions were generous.

We only ate dinner at the restaurant Victor, but the food was lovely and the service excellent. It’s very well placed on the square.

We come back to the Victor Hotel for a few days every year, and Siobhan deserves a special mention. She went out of her way to help us, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. She’s a real asset to Company. Thanks again, Siobhan, for making our stay that bit better.

Right in the centre of Beauvais, which is a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms are small, dated and basic, but they do the job. My TV remote didn’t work, and breakfast was basic but adequate. I’d say this is more suited to backpackers than a business trip.
