B&B Le Clos des Raisins

We first stayed at Le Clos Des Raisins 13 years ago during harvest, and it stayed with us. When we planned a December trip to the Alsace Christmas Markets, we knew exactly where and with whom we wanted to stay. You do need a car, but the location just off the Route des Vins makes it easy to drive to the quaint villages, Colmar, Strasbourg, and even Germany. We explored Freiberg. Beblenheim is a small village with plenty of character, wineries, and vineyards to explore. Thierry makes this a safe and wonderful place to stay. He’s kind and gentle, helpful without intruding, and makes sure guests feel welcome and included at breakfast. He also shares stories about the area and helps with travel, crowds, and finding a great meal. Breakfast is special: there’s home-baked brioche every day, a range of homemade jams and jellies, and plenty of coffee or tea. We especially enjoyed sitting around the same table with all the B and B guests at the same time. We met and learned from people from across Europe and the USA. Our room was clean and very comfortable, and there are shared spaces where you can relax with a coffee or drink after a day out. If having a car works for you, I can’t imagine a better base for exploring Alsace in summer, fall, or winter. Five out of five, without reservation.
