Les Jardins de Soulane B&B

We booked Les Oliviers for two weeks, but left after one because the pool rules spoiled half our holiday. Kids weren’t allowed to play there and it had to stay quiet all the time. Nobody had told us beforehand, so we had to find another gite in the middle of August, which wasn’t easy. There are some good things about the place: the rooms are recent and finished with high quality materials, and the two separate rooms each have their own spacious bathroom with good showers. You can also have a table d'hôtes every day, with a cook. The garden is very nice and large, there’s private parking, and if you’re after absolute silence, the location is ideal. On the downside, the nearest shop is a 25-minute drive away, the wifi is bad, and both toilets smelled of mold. Our own score is 1/5. I think two people looking for complete quiet might rate it a 4 or 5.

The surroundings are beautiful, and the place is wonderfully peaceful. The owners were really friendly and did everything they could to make our stay memorable.

The pool was beautifully maintained, and the view was magnificent. Christelle was attentive, and breakfast was excellent, with bread, pastries, homemade juices, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, fried eggs, jams, honey, and butter. A proper feast. We didn’t have lunch. It was a very pleasant stay in such a lovely, peaceful setting. We recommend it and will be back.

The hosts, Christelle and Benoit, made this stay especially memorable. They were warm and kept checking that we were doing well, and their helpful tips let us discover more of their lovely region and beyond. We’d happily return, and are very grateful for their kindness and hospitality. We’d planned on two nights at this B&B, but liked it so much that we added another. Being tucked away in nature made the stay feel magical and gave us a real chance to rest and recharge. The grounds were so peaceful that our tiredness seemed to fade within a few hours. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including breads, pastries, jams, cheeses, eggs, and freshly squeezed juice. We also enjoyed the table d'hôte meals, made with fresh, local products. We highly recommend it for a restful stay in nature with attentive hosts and high-quality service.
