Brit Hotel Belfort Centre - Le Boreal

After spending about two months here altogether, I can say I've never had a bad experience. The hotel is very clean, in a quiet part of the city, the breakfast is nice, and the staff are both lovely and professional. I'd call Brit hotel (le Boreal) the best value for money in Belfort based on my experience, and I highly recommend it. A detail I really appreciated: two years ago I left my bike in the hotel parking and told management guests could use it if needed. When I came back for it after those two years, it was still in very good condition. Bravo! Without hesitation, this is the best hotel in Belfort.

I'm leaving this review to help the place improve and other guests decide. The staff were kind, and the room was big enough, but there were a lot of problems. The bed was uncomfortable, made from two single beds pushed together with a line down the middle, and there was noise through the night. The parking also felt like poor value: at a €90 hotel, it wasn't included. I've stayed at €45 ibis hotels without hidden fees. After ordering dinner, I found my fork was dirty enough that I could see the previous user's lip marks. The toilet smelled bad, and even the outside of the intake was dirty. There were lots of marks and dust on the floor. A dirty sock was hanging from the ceiling, covering the smoke detector. Breakfast was very good. I'd only recommend staying here if you don't have other options.

We stayed at Boreal in 2013, and it felt like a cosy hotel in the city centre. The amenities were fine, and we really liked being able to borrow bicycles. Breakfast was excellent and delicious. The woman at reception was friendly and nice.

Fine for a night at this price. It's a middle-of-the-road, maybe three-star hotel, and the larger rooms are comfortable. The heater didn't work, so it was rather cold. There’s tea and coffee in the room, and protected parking that isn't expensive.
