The breakfast was laughable, the place smelled of mold, and locals say it's in the city's most dangerous area. But the worst part was the complete lack of privacy and safety. We were a group of four, and each of us had a stranger open the door to our single room with a magnetic key. Some people had this happen several times. At 3 a.m., a couple barged into my room, wanting to make love there. The porter thought it was empty and gave them a key, even though I was in the room. Another woman was getting out of the shower naked when two men came in. They seemed to be staff and apparently didn't know which rooms were occupied, so they went along the whole floor opening doors with a master key to check. They seemed to think this was fine. After three days there, I always call it the "horror hotel" when I talk about it. I could tell more stories. By the end, you'll be ready to pay just to leave. In the photo, you can see how I barricaded myself with furniture so I'd wake up if anyone came in during the night. NEVER stay there.

The room looked ruined, and the bathroom lights didn't work. We only needed a late-night stopover before continuing toward the alps, but the receptionist said it was under renovation and there was only one key. He kept it and told us to ask him if we left and needed to get back in. That was very strange. I wouldn't recommend it, even for one night.

There was dust everywhere, bugs in the room, and the place was dirty. The croissants weren't properly cooked, and the breakfast was expensive for what they offered. They charged the kids the same as adults, £7.50 each. The receptionist didn't speak English and didn't seem to care what we were saying. I'm so disappointed. Worst IBIS I've ever stayed in, even counting the budget ones. Wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms were standard for an Ibis budget, and the hotel is well placed near the Fort and the center. What made the stay really nice was Brianna at reception, a kind and cute young woman. I hope I've got her name right. It was a fun, relaxing stay. I'm sad I probably won't see her again, and I was too shy to ask for her contact. Thank you so much :)
