After 12 hours on the road, we just needed somewhere to sleep. The hotel looked cute, and we picked it as a stop on our trip. We arrived around the time reception was open, got our keys, and left our things in the room. It smelled like it hadn’t been aired out in a while, but we didn’t mind. There was a nice restaurant close by, so we went to eat and came back ready to sleep. That’s when we found the room full of spiders. We killed almost seven, and we were so exhausted that we thought we’d stay anyway. Then one started climbing on my shoes. I called reception to ask for another room, but it had already closed, so after all that driving we decided to carry on and eventually slept at a gas station. I opened a case with booking, and they could clearly see the bed hadn’t been used. It’s not easy finding somewhere to sleep at 11:30 pm with a dog. I hope my experience puts people off coming here.

The two women working here were extremely helpful and friendly, which made a tough few days easier. We spent four days at the hotel after our car broke down coming from Benidorm, while we waited for it to be fixed. The RAC arranged our stay. There isn’t anything around the hotel if you’re on foot, and the rooms don’t have tea or coffee facilities. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very expensive, and without English menus we weren’t sure what the dishes included. I’d stay again if we had our own transport. It’s a good place to stop when you’re mobile.
