The terrace looked inviting, and the indoor room did too, though it seemed hot and stuffy. We arrived about an hour after lunch service had started, and the restaurant was full. Since terrace dining wasn't available, they turned us away. We weren't given a reason why it couldn't be opened for drinks, so it's hard to say what the issue was. Best to arrive early or book ahead if you can.

The food was delicious and priced very reasonably. Our red haired waitress was a big help and spoke good English, even though she didn't think she did. Our French is a little poor, so we really appreciated that. Such a lovely, warm and friendly place to eat.

I ride around the vosges on my motorbike quite a lot, and this is a handy lunch stop at the crossroads before I head off in another direction across the mountains. I love the terrace, and especially their Baeckeoffe.
