Les Belleme Golf Apartments

The place itself is pleasant, the golf course is magnificent, and the staff were very kind. They seemed helpless, though, in the face of the group’s lack of interest in the establishment. It’s sad to see somewhere with so much potential gradually being left behind. We hope the staff’s situation and working conditions improve, and wish them luck. We stayed over the Pentecost weekend with high expectations, but the stay didn’t live up to them. The website photos don’t show the reality: the outdoor pool had apparently been out of service for a year. There was no weekend catering either, which made finding a restaurant for eight people difficult. The bathrooms had no shower gel, the lounge and kitchen could use a fresh coat of paint, and the gardens weren’t maintained. Breakfast also fell short. A shame for such a remarkable setting.

The setting is lovely, and in warmer weather having a cool drink on the club terrace must be a treat. I was just passing through and stayed one night. The apartment was clean and had the basics, including a fridge and microwave, though it felt dated. The buildings overall need maintenance: the outside walls look worn, and stains underneath some terraces suggest they may no longer be watertight. Breakfast costs €13. It’s fine, but nothing memorable, and there wasn’t much choice among the savory food, with only one kind of ham, for example.

Only the evening walks across the green and the pool and spa were positives. The apartments were barely clean, the decor was old, and reception service was unbearable. Breakfast was like something from a 90s Formula 1 hotel. The staff were almost friendly again during our stay. Catastrophic, run away!

Booking was handled really well, and they were helpful when sorting out problems. The room was clean, though the details need attention: mine had a shower but no hot water.
