The pre-booked dinner turned into a lovely, convivial evening with the other guests, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We were on our way south in April 2023, and Maison Balady was well worth the small detour from the motorway. Our Cleo room was spacious, quiet and lovely, with a comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. The house has been renovated with real care for what guests need. Marco and Marjolaine are generous, kind hosts. We’d recommend it without hesitation.

Marjolaine planned a local cycling route around what we needed, and it suited us perfectly. The area is great for cycling, and we’d definitely recommend it. We also loved the food Marco prepared, made with lots of wonderful local produce. Our room was spacious, clean, elegant and beautifully decorated. Such friendly, helpful hosts and fabulous hospitality. Merci Marjolaine et Marco.

Dinner was one of the best meals we’ve had in all our travels, and the home itself feels like a special place. We found it by chance on our way from the south of France to Paris, and Marjolaine and Marco made us feel so welcome. They’re warm, kind people who really care about their guests’ well-being and experience. We hope we get to come back someday.

We’re already looking forward to another trip. On our second stay at Maison Balady, we loved how peaceful it is in the Auvergne, with rolling countryside all around the charming house. Marjolaine and Marco are delightful hosts, and our favourite part was sitting on their terrace in the evening, chatting over Marco’s fantastic meals. Santé! Jonathan & Maggie
