Camping RCN le Moulin de la Pique

We came out of season and all the facilities were still open. There was a warm covered pool as well as outdoor pools, and clean indoor sanitaires with toilet paper, seats, and good showers. The site has plenty of shady pitches, which would normally be ideal in hot weather, but September was poor and we wanted a sunny spot. In high season it looks like a busy, family-focused place with things for all ages. If you'd rather have a quieter stay without children around, low season is the better time.

We stayed in the cabin at pitch 220, a lovely shady spot close to the tennis court and only a short walk from the pool. It was finished to a high standard, with an ensuite and lots of room in the living area. The campsite has good facilities, helpful staff who speak several languages, and shaded pitches. There's also a large central space for ball games.

We had a campervan pitch at this excellent site. The staff were friendly and smiley, the facilities were lovely, and there are pools and slides. Fresh bread is available to order each day, and the food was lovely, especially the pizzas. Great location too. Five stars all around, and without doubt the best site we've stayed at in France. Couldn't ask for more.

The surrounding area is a natural paradise, full of wonderful examples of what makes this region special. The campsite itself is beautifully laid out in an old setting and has everything you'd want, from plenty of toilets and showers to a good bar, restaurant, and shop. The young Dutch staff speak impeccable English and deserve a chapeau of their own. Like other RCN campsites, it's impeccable, and I always come away feeling better for having stayed. Aye. Fraser.
