The cherry and pistachio tart was the best I've ever tasted 😁. The food is excellent as always, and Belvès is a great place to visit. The restaurant sits just off Main Street and has lots of French charm.

The building was beautiful and the setting was great, and we'd happily return. We stayed for dinner and found the food superb. The host made us feel incredibly welcome, and the staff were fantastic about helping us choose from the menu and even with our French. Well worth a visit.

On our second visit, it was just as pleasant as the first. There's a good selection on the set menu and à la carte. We had fillet steak with mushroom sauce, fries, and salad, and the food was very good quality. We'd recommend the place and will come back.

The bedroom was directly above the kitchen, and at nearly 37°+, with two small children, no fans, and no fridge, keeping the little one's milk fresh was almost impossible. I accidentally broke a bottle of water in the room and was treated with contempt by the chef/owner. It was just a bottle of water, and the heat was close to 40° because of the kitchen below us, but he reacted as if we'd thrown a party. He seemed grumpy and more interested in his dog(s) than running the business. During service he ranted almost the whole time, though luckily the restaurant diners were on the other side and couldn't hear. Leaving in the morning was just as unpleasant: as we passed in the entrance hall, he barely managed a goodbye. Miserable sod.

We had the set menu for dinner, and the food was great. The chef was accommodating about special dietary needs. Be sure to book ahead.
