Logis Hôtel & Restaurant Au Gré du Vent

We arrived to find every road around the hotel gated off for motorcycle and road racing. There was nowhere to park at the hotel or nearby, and the town was packed. The hotel was closed, with nobody at reception, and none of the three phone numbers we'd been given worked. We had to drag our cases a long way from the only available parking, only to find no one there, despite an email saying reception was open from 1300 to 1900. After waiting nearly an hour, until 1500, we hauled everything back to the distant car and went to the local Ibis instead. It was cheaper and much more welcoming. Why weren't we told we couldn't access the hotel so we could cancel? Why was no staff available? Really shabby treatment. I certainly won't return.
