I chose this hotel because it was near the train station, and it also turned out to be an easy walk to the market-day center, old town, and restaurants. The street is quiet, the people were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean. The receptionist marked places on a map for me, and they were easy to find. The bathroom was great, with hot water at both the sink and shower. In three weeks of traveling in France, that was the first sink tap I’d found with hot water; most were only warm or cool. The bathroom lighting was very good, though the bedroom was a bit dim. Having the toilet in a separate room from the shower is common in France, though I’m not sure why people find it odd. It was a rainy fall day, so I didn’t use the pool.

We had a great two weeks in Bergerac. The location was good, breakfast on site was nice, and the hosts made us feel welcome every day. Looking forward to coming again.

The outside looks ordinary, but inside this boutique hotel is beautiful. Staff were warm and welcoming, and everyone seemed to speak English. My room was spacious and clean, with good AC. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and roughly the same to shops and restaurants in the business district. The hotel is on a quiet, safe residential street, and as a woman traveling alone I felt comfortable walking around the neighborhood. I’ll likely be back in Bergerac, and I’d stay here again.

The hotel’s exterior is very ordinary, but inside everything was excellent. It was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, and every staff member we met was very pleasant and helpful. The pool area had sunbeds and parasols, and towels were provided. There’s no elevator, but I’m 82 and managed fine. The location is very convenient for the old town.

The room was nice, with a handy kettle and tea and coffee, plus a powerful shower with a rain head. The air conditioning worked very well for both heating and cooling. Parking was easy, with plenty of space, and the location is good, just 50m from bars and restaurants. The lovely woman at reception explained everything in detail, which really helped. We’d use this hotel again.
