The riverside setting made this stay special. We could hear the water running past when we woke up, and the valley was quiet, full of plants and wildlife, and lovely to look at. Ali and Cathy, two expat Brits, greeted us with such warmth and smiles. They were happy to help with anything. The accommodation was first class and very comfortable, with a private outdoor area where we could enjoy some space to ourselves. It was very good value, and we’ll be returning to this beautiful area. Frank & Mary

Birds sang through the evening and morning, with owls calling at night. Buddy the dog was lovely, and the owner was helpful and involved. The place felt like a fairy tale, with secluded buildings in a forest clearing beside a fast-flowing river. They’d thought of what you need, even a baguette bag and a French press for coffee. Definitely adding it to my list of places to come back to.
