The breakfast alone was a treat, with homemade yogurt and jams, fresh fruit salad, local farmers' cheese, a croissant, baguette, multigrain bread, coffee, apple juice and milk. The owner also asked what time suited me. I’d stumbled on this place while looking for a break after a long drive, and was surprised by how lovely it was: spacious, clean, comfortable rooms with everything I needed, great bathrooms, and parking right outside. The house sits along a little winding road among fields and woods, with a beautiful garden and a lovely dining room. Then my car tyre went flat overnight. The owner and his son found a jack, helped remove the wheel, took me to a nearby mechanic and translated for me. After the repair, they helped put it back on, and the owner kindly refused any extra payment. I was blown away by the place and their generosity. Next time I’ll stay for a few days instead of just stopping to rest. Thank you so much!

The countryside view from our family room was incredible, and the bedding was comfortable and felt high quality. Everything was very clean. Our host welcomed us warmly and even had a generous, delicious breakfast ready in advance for our very early departure, made with local products. It’s also a great spot for exploring this beautiful region. Highly recommended!

We had a peaceful night in the Sleeping Beauty room, with its incredible view. Stéphane gave us an extraordinary welcome and was devoted to making guests comfortable while still being discreet. The guesthouse is a great base for hikers like us and for mountain bikers. Everything feels designed to make you at home, with the pleasure of being treated like royalty. Even the little pillow for your head in the bathtub had been thought of. Breakfast by the big, lit fireplace was generous and delicious, with homemade yogurt and jams, fresh fruit salad, dried fruit, cereal, and local and regional products. We enjoyed it all. We didn’t use the bar area at reception, but it’s a nice extra, with local information, beers, chips and plenty of board games. The garden is superb and very well kept, and the family decor is tasteful. A lovely weekend, thank you for everything. We’d gladly come back.

We’ve been coming to La Garonde for years and always enjoy our stays. Stéphane and Hélène are fantastic hosts. The welcome, rooms, panoramic views, and breakfast with its wide range of local products are all highlights.
