The big garden has seen better days, but the place has a lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed breakfast around the shared table, and the Dutch owner was very kind. The rooms are roomy, and I could bring my dogs, which made this a five-star stay for me. Just don't expect a five-star hotel with room service and all that. It's an old country house, so that might disappoint you.

Hans took such good care of us, and we can’t wait to come back. His property is wonderful from start to finish, and while the showers are great, the host is even better. Honestly, I can’t imagine finding a better place to stay or camp anywhere in France. Thanks, Hans!

That huge bed was so comfortable, and the bedroom and bathroom had been nicely modernized. We got in late and were welcomed warmly. I was offered a drink, but I was too tired to have one. In the morning, breakfast was hearty, with delicious eggs from his own hens and plenty of local produce. Such a lovely experience, thank you.

After the journey from the Netherlands, we settled into the beautiful large garden with delicious wine, cheeses and bread. Hans's warm welcome and generous hospitality made Fantesstique feel like home again. Our two young daughters stayed with us in rooms 5A and 5B, which were conveniently joined by the bathroom. The box-spring beds were lovely and long enough even for me at 2 meters tall. It was so peaceful that I slept like a log, then woke to a delicious breakfast and Hans's smile. He's very helpful, full of tips, and nothing is too much trouble. The bed and breakfast is in a quiet village and makes an excellent base for a trip around the Champagne region. We had everything we needed, and we'll be back next year!
